Vision
MSN Live Earth brought together the world's hottest music stars to support the world's hottest problem, global warming. A series of concerts brought people together in the world's major cities and across the internet. About 8 million people tuned in online to watch artists like Madonna, Metallica, the Police, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, making the series of concerts the most watched event in the history of the internet. As a result, MSN raised millions of dollars to support research to slow global climate change. Challenge

A Neat Little Gadget
The MSN LiveEarth Gadget sits on the Windows Vista sidebar and streams live performances straight to the screen without having to open a browser window or application. Always only a click away, MSN LiveEarth Gadget extends the LiveEarth experience to every user’s desktop. Monsoon Company Live
Monsoon Company worked backstage on this project by developing both the Gadget and a Flash version, allowing users on any platform to download and enjoy worldwide performances. Integrating seamlessly with MSN’s hosted streams, the gadget shows off some of the cool new features of Vista, as well as the possibilities of video. Our experience doing Vista development work for Microsoft has given us a solid background for future Vista projects.
