Service: iReuse is pioneering a new model of sustainability and recycling, allowing both corporate and non-profit clients have taken advantage of its online exchange.

Monsoon built an online marketplace for individuals and nonprofits to sell, donate, buy, or take what they needed.
Vision
In 2003, iReuse CEO Ken Kurtzig asked Monsoon to help build an online community that would help businesses donate unwanted materials and furnitue to nonprofits who could use them. Businesses would be able to sustainably dispose of extra materials and collect a tax write-off, while nonprofits would get free or inexpensive stuff. Challenge
iReuse required an intuitive front-end combined with a sophisticated back-end matching system to connect businesses (“sellers”) with non-profits (“buyers”). Key components of the matching process would be the proximity of prospective buyers to sellers, and need. Laying the Brick
Monsoon created a complete web application to serve the needs of the iReuse community. Comparable to eBay or Craigslist in scope, we built iReuse.com on a sophisticated set of platforms: an online marketplace for individuals to sell, donate, buy, or take what they needed; a wishlist feature that allows organizations to communicate their needs; and a tool for larger corporations to reallocate their own resources. Historic Trading Partner
Successful web applications evolve quickly and often. iReuse has worked with Monsoon for more than four years, and the website has continusously evolved as our team gains a stronger understanding of what their clients need. Built entirely on a .NET platform, Monsoon worked with iReuse through several versions and continues to support the interface as the company grows.
